Only one BSc degree programme is offered by the department. The department gives opportunities for professionalization by offering three professional minors in materials science, industrial chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry. To qualify for a BSc in Chemistry, students must obtain a minimum of one hundred and eighty (180) credits from duly prescribed courses

Besides the general University admissions requirements, candidates seeking to read for a BSc degree in Chemistry must have pass grades in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at the GCE O' level. At the GCE A' level, they must possess good pass grades in at least two science subjects, one of which must be Chemistry (minimum D grade). Candidates with equivalent certificates will also be considered
